Community Food Bank Asks for Help Choosing Mural Design
<p>A new mural is set to transform the exterior of the Community Food Bank of Grand Junction. The organization is turning to the community to help select the final design, ensuring local voices shape the artistic vision.</p>

<p>The Community Food Bank recently received a grant from the Grand Junction Commission on Arts and Culture, enabling them to commission a mural for their warehouse wall.</p>
<p>To ensure the project reflects the community it serves, the food bank invited local artists to submit designs. After careful consideration, they narrowed it down to three finalists.</p>

<h2>Clients and Community Members Cast Their Votes</h2>
<p>Jessica Mays, development manager at the food bank, emphasized the importance of including clients in the decision-making process.</p>
<p>“We are having our clients make sure that they’re part of this. This is for them, so they can experience what art is and how beautiful it is,” Mays said.</p>
<p>Clients visiting the food bank can vote in person when they pick up necessities. Additionally, the organization has opened voting to the broader community via Instagram and Facebook.</p>
<h2>Winning Mural to Be Announced Soon</h2>
<p>The anticipation is building as the final votes come in. The food bank has announced that the winning design will be revealed on Monday, February 24.</p>
