Driver Released on Summons After Crashing Into Multiple Vehicles and Ravine
<p>A 57-year-old woman is facing charges after crashing into multiple vehicles and eventually driving into a ravine in Grand Junction. The incident, which unfolded on December 18, ended with the driver being taken into custody and later released on a summons.</p>
<h2>A Hit and Run Escalates</h2>
<p>At approximately 9:45 a.m. on December 18, the Grand Junction Police Department (GJPD) responded to reports of a hit-and-run crash near N 12th Street and Bookcliff Avenue. Witnesses described a black SUV driving erratically and crashing into two vehicles before continuing its path northbound on N 12th Street.</p>

<p>Shortly after the initial collisions, officers received another report that a vehicle had crashed into a ravine after passing through a nearby roundabout at N 12th Street and Horizon Drive.</p>
<p>Upon arrival, officers found the black SUV, matching the description of the vehicle involved in the earlier crashes, lodged in the ravine at the northwest corner of the intersection.</p>
<h2>Driver Arrested and Released on Summons</h2>
<p>The driver, later identified as 57-year-old <strong>Brenda Jordan</strong>, was taken into custody by the GJPD. She was transported to a local hospital by the Grand Junction Fire Department for treatment of minor injuries.</p>
<p>Jordan was arrested after being discharged from the hospital and was released on a summons for <strong>DUI</strong> and <strong>Careless Driving</strong>.</p>

<p>At this time, the investigation is ongoing, but authorities have confirmed that no additional injuries occurred after Jordan was arrested.</p>
