Fire at Fort Wayne Apartment Complex Leaves Two Buildings Condemned
<p>FORT WAYNE, Ind. – A fire broke out Friday evening at the Autumn Woods Apartments on the city&#8217;s southeast side, causing heavy damage and leading to the condemnation of two buildings. Firefighters responded swiftly, ensuring all residents were safely evacuated.</p>
<h2>Firefighters Arrive to a Hidden Threat</h2>
<p>Crews from the Fort Wayne Fire Department (FWFD) were dispatched around 7 p.m. to the 2000 block of Carterton Drive following reports of a possible structure fire. Upon arrival, they found no immediate signs of smoke or flames from the outside.</p>
<p>However, once inside, firefighters discovered a small fire near an electrical panel and quickly extinguished it. But that was just the beginning.</p>

<h2>Fire Spreads Within the Walls</h2>
<p>As firefighters investigated further, they found an active fire hidden within the building’s walls. The flames had extended into the attic, creating a serious threat of spreading further through the complex.</p>
