<p>One of the standout additions is <em>Tower 6</em>, a state-of-the-art platform fire truck engineered to handle fires in buildings of all sizes. Costing approximately $1.7 million, this advanced vehicle provides the department with improved reach and functionality for urban firefighting scenarios.</p>
<p>The platform design allows for greater flexibility in accessing difficult locations, such as high-rise buildings or complex structures.</p>

<p>These vehicles, representing a three-year planning and procurement process, underscore the department’s commitment to serving the community with both efficiency and financial responsibility.</p>
<p>“Our main goal is to improve service and safety in the community,” explained Dirk Clingman of the Grand Junction Fire Department. “Every piece of apparatus is designed specifically for our needs with financial responsibility in mind. These are long-term projects and do not happen overnight. We are very proud and excited to have these vehicles.”</p>
