Therapeutic Ink Tattoo in Grand Junction, Colorado, is turning what used to be a one-day flash sale into a month-long event this December. For owner and artist Drew Craig, the extended sale is a response to past overwhelming demand and an effort to create a smoother experience for both himself and his clients.
From One Day to One Month
Friday the 13th flash tattoo events have traditionally been a high point for tattoo shops, drawing large crowds and offering unique deals. For Craig, though, a single day proved to be too much. “Within an hour, we had a line wrapping around the building, and around the stairs and around that building,” he recalled.
The chaos of one-day sales taught Craig an important lesson. “I learned to do it by appointment,” he said. This change ensures a more organized process for everyone involved.
Why the Sale Matters
Flash sales like this one offer an opportunity for customers to get unique tattoos at reduced prices, making tattoos more accessible. It’s also a significant business boost for artists, especially during the holiday season.
Therapeutic Ink’s month-long event allows Craig to cater to more customers without the stress of marathon tattooing sessions. On Mother’s Day, he said, “We started at 10 o’clock and didn’t leave until 6 o’clock the next day.”
Scheduling Appointments
Appointments for December are still available, and customers can book through Therapeutic Ink’s Facebook or Instagram pages. By switching to an appointment-based system, Craig has found a way to manage the rush while still offering the deals his clients love.
Whether it’s your first tattoo or the next addition to your collection, this month-long flash sale is an opportunity not to be missed.
