Dutch Bros has officially opened its doors in Grand Junction, bringing excitement to locals who were eager for a taste of the popular coffee chain. The new location opened on January 24, and residents flocked to the drive-through and walk-up windows to celebrate the grand opening.
A New Local Favorite: Residents Celebrate
For many in Mesa County, Dutch Bros’ arrival means no longer needing to drive all the way to Denver for their favorite drinks. Arshella, a local customer, couldn’t contain her excitement: “I’m so excited. I’m a Dutch Bros fan, so you know, instead of having to go all the way to Denver to get it, here is super cool.”
The grand opening brought out hundreds of locals who were eager to get their hands on the iconic drinks. While the turnout was anticipated, even employees were taken aback by the number of customers who showed up.
Maria Hasee, the Regional Operator for Dutch Bros, expressed her amazement at the response: “This is amazing! My mind’s blown. Honestly, just watching all the cars stack up like this is way bigger than I anticipated it being.”
Smooth Operations Amid the Rush
Despite the overwhelming number of customers, Dutch Bros employees were prepared and handled the rush with ease. Amber, a first-time customer, was impressed with how well the team managed the opening day chaos: “I know that opening day is tough on a lot of businesses ‘cause they’re so busy and have so much going on.”
The smooth operations and friendly atmosphere didn’t go unnoticed. Hasee, who’s not originally from the area, expressed her gratitude for the warm welcome from the community: “The community’s been so welcoming and I’m super grateful for that. I’m not originally from here, so like coming and just being involved and seeing everyone, it’s awesome.”
Giving Back: Dutch Bros Supports Make-A-Wish
The Grand Junction location’s opening comes with a heartwarming cause. On January 25, Dutch Bros locations in Colorado, including the new Grand Junction store, participated in the “Make a Wish Give Back” event. During this special day, every dollar from each drink sold was donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This act of generosity added to the excitement of the opening day, allowing customers to indulge in their favorite drinks while supporting a great cause.
