FORT WAYNE, Ind. — WWE is bringing one of its biggest television events of the year to Fort Wayne. The revived Saturday Night’s Main Event will air live from the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum on Saturday, May 23, 2026, marking the first time the iconic brand visits the Summit City in nearly two decades.
The announcement dropped Thursday morning and instantly sent shockwaves through northeast Indiana wrestling fans who have waited years for a premium live-style show on this scale.
This is the biggest WWE event Fort Wayne has landed since the old house show days of the early 2000s.
The quarterly Saturday Night’s Main Event series returned in December 2024 after a 16-year hiatus and has quickly become must-watch television. The first two installments drew massive ratings on NBC and huge streaming numbers on Peacock, proving the throwback format still works in 2026.
WWE confirmed the Fort Wayne date joins an already stacked 2026 calendar that includes Money in the Bank in Minneapolis over Memorial Day weekend and Bash in Berlin later in the summer.
Tickets Go on Sale Next Week — Here’s the Exact Timeline
Public sale starts Friday, March 20 at 10 a.m. Eastern through Ticketmaster.
WWE Presale begins Thursday, March 19 at 10 a.m. using code WWEBACK.
Coliseum subscribers and local partner presales also open Thursday morning.
Prices have not been released yet, but similar Saturday Night’s Main Event shows ranged from $35 to $500+ for floor seats. Expect strong demand — the last time WWE ran the Coliseum in 2023 for a non-televised event, it sold out in minutes.
Why Fort Wayne? WWE Loves These Mid-Sized Arenas
The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum holds just under 11,000 for wrestling setups and consistently ranks as one of the best buildings on the circuit.
Veterans like Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, and Gunther have praised the venue’s loud acoustics and rabid Indiana fanbase in recent interviews.
WWE ran regular house shows here through the Ruthless Aggression era and even taped Monday Night Raw at the Coliseum in the late 90s. Bringing Saturday Night’s Main Event here feels like a full-circle moment for longtime local fans.
What Kind of Card Can Fans Expect?
While nothing is official yet, every Saturday Night’s Main Event so far has delivered championship matches and major storyline developments.
Past shows featured:
- Cody Rhodes defending the Undisputed WWE Championship
- Women’s World Championship triple threats
- Returns of legends (John Cena’s surprise appearance in December 2024 broke the internet)
Given the May 23 date falls right between Money in the Bank and the summer PLE season, Fort Wayne will almost certainly host at least one world title defense and several high-stakes grudge matches.
Local favorite Liv Morgan, who grew up just two hours away in Elmira, New York, but has strong Midwest support, is already being mentioned by fans as a potential main event player.
Economic Impact: Another Big Weekend for Fort Wayne
The Coliseum expects a complete sell-out, bringing thousands of out-of-town visitors to downtown hotels, restaurants, and bars.
Visit Fort Wayne estimates WWE events typically generate between $2-4 million in direct visitor spending — money that flows straight into local businesses.
This marks the second major wrestling event for the city in twelve months after AEW ran a packed house at the Coliseum last fall.
Saturday Night’s Main Event hitting Fort Wayne proves northeast Indiana remains a legitimate wrestling market in 2026.
Fans have waited a long time for this moment. May 23 can’t come soon enough.
