Why attend the Heart Health Fair
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), heart disease is responsible for one in every four deaths in the United States, and about half of Americans have at least one of the key risk factors for heart disease: high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or smoking.
The Heart Health Fair is a great opportunity for people to get screened and educated on their heart health, and to take action to reduce their risk of heart disease. By attending the event, people can:
- Know their numbers: The screenings will provide important information on blood pressure, cholesterol, glucose, and other indicators of heart health. Knowing these numbers can help people understand their risk of heart disease and make informed decisions about their lifestyle and treatment options.
- Learn from the experts: The educational booths and presentations will provide evidence-based and practical information on how to prevent and manage heart disease. Learning from the experts can help people adopt healthy habits and behaviors that can lower their risk of heart disease and improve their quality of life.
- Connect with the community: The Heart Health Fair is a community event that brings together people who care about their heart health and want to make a positive change. Connecting with the community can provide support, motivation, and inspiration for people to take charge of their heart health and live longer and healthier lives.
