FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) — Downtown Fort Wayne has welcomed a brand-new entertainment venue, Pinhouse Social, bringing an exciting mix of drinks, food, and interactive activities to the heart of the city.
A Long-Awaited Addition to Fort Wayne
According to one of the owners, Nate Newport, the idea for Pinhouse Social was born out of a desire to fill a gap in the local entertainment scene. “Our whole thing was to create a space where people can be active and social,” Newport explained. “To see people in this space after all the hard work from our contractors and our team, it’s remarkable. It’s really cool.”
Activities and Features
Pinhouse Social offers a variety of games and activities, including cornhole, bocce ball, darts, pinball, and the main attraction, duckpin bowling. The bowling experience at Pinhouse Social differs from traditional bowling by offering smaller, lighter balls and not requiring special footwear, making it more accessible and family-friendly. Newport emphasized that all the bowling lanes are ADA-accessible, ensuring the venue is inclusive for all visitors.
Culinary and Bar Experience
General Manager Nicole Deerheimer shared her excitement about the venue’s completion, particularly the efforts that went into curating the team and creating the ideal atmosphere. “The journey has been amazing — from selecting our culinary and bar teams to finalizing the menu and design,” said Deerheimer. “It’s really about perfection, making sure everything is just right.”
With its focus on providing a lively, inclusive space for both activity and socializing, Pinhouse Social is set to become a favorite spot for Fort Wayne residents and visitors alike.
