Heart Health Fair offers free screenings and education at St. Mary’s Hospital

St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction is hosting a Heart Health Fair on Friday, January 30, 2024, from 7 a.m. to noon. The event is free and open to the public, and aims to raise awareness and prevention of heart disease, the leading cause of death in the United States.

What to expect at the Heart Health Fair

The Heart Health Fair will offer a variety of free screenings and education for attendees. Some of the screenings include:

  • Blood pressure
  • Body mass index (BMI)
  • Cholesterol
  • Glucose
  • Peripheral artery disease (PAD)

The screenings will be performed by St. Mary’s staff and volunteers, and the results will be explained by health professionals. Attendees will also receive a booklet with tips and resources on how to improve their heart health.
