Friends of Mesa County Libraries Searching for New Location

The Friends of Mesa County Libraries, a dedicated volunteer group, is on the lookout for a new space to continue their mission of supporting the community through book sales and donations.

Outgrowing the Current Space

Nestled in a corner of the First Congregational Church near Sherwood Park, the Friends of Mesa County Libraries have long utilized this space to organize weekend book sales. However, the area has become too cramped to accommodate the growing number of donations and book collections.

“We know that by summer they’re going to have more than they have the capacity to store,” said Ami Schiffbauer, Development Director for Mesa County Libraries. “That’s why we’re really hoping to find a new location in the next few months where they can thrive and continue to do the great work that they do for our community.”

Community-Powered Sales

Every weekend, the volunteers host book sales featuring a wide range of books for all ages. These events are made possible entirely through community donations, highlighting the strong support network the Friends of Mesa County Libraries have built over the years.
