A heartwarming initiative by the Adams Radio Group in Fort Wayne is helping 25 local families enjoy a brighter Christmas this year, thanks to their ‘Letters to Santa’ program.
Community Support and Over $10,000 in Aid
Adams Radio Group has partnered with several local companies to provide over $10,000 in assistance, ensuring that 25 families will have gifts to open this Christmas. The program, which first launched last year thanks to Randy Alomar and country station US93.3 (WBTU), has since grown to include all of Adams Radio Group’s Fort Wayne stations.
Listeners were invited to participate by visiting the stations’ websites to nominate families in need. The response was overwhelming, with over 500 nominations submitted. From these, 25 families were chosen to receive help, each selected based on the heartfelt letters they submitted.
Spreading Holiday Cheer Through Personal Touch
Delivery of the new, wrapped presents began earlier this week, bringing festive joy to local homes. JJ Fabini, the operations manager for Adams Radio Group, expressed the emotional impact the program has had on the team. “This has been a humbling and heart-warming experience for everyone here at Adams,” Fabini shared. “Reading the letters, selecting the recipients, and delivering the presents was an honor and a privilege.”
For those involved, the program is more than just about delivering gifts—it’s about making connections and creating moments of joy for families facing difficult times.
Looking Ahead to More Holiday Magic
As the year comes to a close, the Adams Radio Group is already thinking ahead to next year’s ‘Letters to Santa’ program. With plans to expand the initiative even further, they are excited about the possibility of helping even more families in the future.
The impact of this program has been felt deeply throughout the community, with many families now able to enjoy a festive season they might have otherwise missed. It’s a reminder of the power of giving, and the strength of local communities coming together to help one another.
