Harley-Davidson Gears Up for 45th Annual Hog Run Toy Drive

This December, Teddy Morse’s Grand Junction Harley-Davidson will host the 45th annual Hog Run Toy Drive, a beloved local event that brings together the biker community to give back to those in need.

A Tradition of Giving

The Hog Run Toy Drive has become a staple in Grand Junction, with bikers from all over the area gathering to donate toys to children in need. This year, the event is scheduled for December 7 and promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Teddy Morse’s Grand Junction Harley-Davidson has teamed up with Western Slope Hog and the Salvation Army to ensure this year’s event is a success. The drive encourages participants to bring unwrapped toys for boys and girls, which will be strapped to motorcycles and delivered in a grand procession.

Community Impact

The Hog Run Toy Drive has grown steadily over the years, with last year’s event collecting nearly 6,000 toys. This community-driven effort provides a way for bikers and local residents to make a tangible impact on children’s lives during the holiday season.

Dean Nelson, director of Western Slope Hog, shared the heartwarming sentiment that drives this annual event:

“The true reward is the fulfillment in my heart to see the joy in not only children’s hearts but the burden that’s taken off the parents that are struggling in life.”

What to Expect

Participants will be welcomed with coffee and donuts, a chance to mingle with fellow bikers, and a thrilling procession of motorcycles. The weather forecast looks favorable, with hopes high that this year’s toy run will be the biggest one yet.

Rachel Box, motor clothes manager for Harley-Davidson, expressed her excitement:

“It is an unreal experience. I’ve been here 12 years and I never get tired of it—watching so many motorcycles and so many people come together for such a good cause. Hearing the roar of the motorcycles gives you goosebumps.”

How to Get Involved

Anyone interested in participating or donating can visit the Harley-Davidson dealership before the event to drop off toys. Special drop-off bins are available for those who can’t make it to the parade but still want to contribute to the cause.
