The City of Grand Junction has announced the opening of its registration portal for various recreation programs that will run from January to May 2024. The programs include camps, sports clubs, fitness classes, and more.

The city’s parks and recreation department offers thousands of affordable and accessible programs for residents of all ages and abilities. Some of the programs available are:

  • CampTO: A day camp program for children aged 4 to 12, with activities such as arts and crafts, games, sports, and outdoor exploration. CampTO runs during school breaks and holidays, such as March Break, Easter, and Memorial Day.
  • Sports Clubs: A variety of sports programs for youth and adults, such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, tennis, golf, and pickleball. Sports clubs are designed to promote physical activity, skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

  • Online: Visit the city’s website at register.gjcity.org and create an account. You will need a family number and a client number for each member of your household who wants to register. You can browse the programs by category, location, date, time, and age group. You can also use the search function to find specific programs. Once you have selected the programs you want, you can add them to your cart and proceed to checkout. You will need a credit card to pay for the programs online.
  • Phone: Call the customer service line at 970-254-3866 and speak to a representative. You will need your family number and client number, as well as the program codes for the programs you want to register for. You can pay by credit card over the phone.
  • In person: Visit one of the city’s recreation centers and fill out a registration form. You can pay by cash, check, or credit card at the counter. The recreation centers are located at:

Registration for recreation programs is open until the programs are full or the registration deadline passes. Some programs may have a waitlist option if they are full. You can also cancel or transfer your registration if you change your mind, subject to the city’s refund and transfer policy.
