Marion Man Accused of Firing Gun Into Home With Five Children Inside

A 31-year-old man from Marion, Indiana, is now facing a felony charge after allegedly shooting into a home occupied by an adult and five children. Authorities say no one was injured, but the incident has left the neighborhood shaken.

Witness Reports and Police Response

A witness told police they saw a black Dodge SUV speeding away from the scene shortly after the gunfire. The Marion Police Department responded swiftly, gathering evidence and searching for the suspect.

Officers later located the vehicle and its driver, identified as Jesse Flowers. When questioned, Flowers denied any involvement in the shooting. However, investigators continued their search, leading them to potential evidence linking him to the crime.

Evidence Discovered During Investigation

Authorities secured a search warrant to examine the vehicle and surrounding area. During their search, they reportedly found .223 spent cartridge casings, a type of ammunition commonly used in AR15-style rifles.

Further investigation led officers to a residence associated with Flowers. While searching the property, police discovered an AR15 rifle hidden beneath the porch, strengthening the case against him.

Charges and Ongoing Investigation

Flowers has been charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. The charge carries serious legal consequences, and investigators continue to gather information to determine any additional charges that may apply.
