The Town of Palisade is celebrating its 121st anniversary with a unique promotion that gives locals and visitors a chance to enjoy special discounts at businesses across town. The initiative, known as the “1904 campaign,” ties into the town’s founding year and aims to boost community engagement and tourism.
Businesses Embrace the 1904 Theme
Palisade’s Tourism Advisory Board spearheaded the campaign, allowing local businesses to get creative with their promotions. While each business is free to design its own deals, all discounts revolve around the number 1904.
Some of the standout offers include:
- Caroline’s at Wine Country Inn pricing select meals at $19.04.
- Colorado Cellars Winery offering a 19.04% discount on certain bottles of wine.
The initiative is more than just about savings—it’s also about bringing people together.
Boosting Local Businesses and Tourism
For Palisade, this celebration isn’t just about marking another year; it’s an opportunity to drive business and bring more people to town, even in the off-season.
“This can help local businesses drive more visitors here to Palisade, even though it’s not time for Peaches yet. It’s a wonderful time to visit, and anytime you have visitors and tourists and locals alike in town, it really energizes the whole town,” said JoAnn Rasmussen, a member of Palisade’s Tourism Advisory Board.
The timing of the promotion also serves as a reminder that Palisade has much to offer beyond its famous peaches, from wineries to scenic outdoor attractions.
A Special Event to Close the Celebration
The birthday festivities will culminate on April 4 with a special event at Ordinary Fellow Winery. While details of the celebration are still emerging, locals can expect an evening filled with community spirit, great wine, and a nod to the town’s rich history.
For those interested in taking advantage of these special offers, promotions will be running up until April 4.
