Intermountain Health has announced the upcoming closure of Bloomin’ Babies Birth Center in Grand Junction, with operations set to cease on March 28, 2025, due to a decline in birth rates and patient numbers in Mesa County.
Reasons Behind the Closure
Officials from Intermountain Health have cited a decrease in birth rates as a key factor in the decision to shut down the birth center. With fewer patients seeking services at Bloomin’ Babies, sustaining operations became increasingly difficult.
Transition Options for Patients
Current patients at Bloomin’ Babies have the option to continue receiving care from their existing team or transition to another provider within Intermountain Health’s network. Alternative care options include:
- Patterson OB-GYN and Midwifery Clinic – 610 25th Rd.
- Wellington OB-GYN Clinic – N. 8th St.
- St. Mary’s Family Medicine Clinic – 2698 Patterson Rd.
