Turnstone Hosts 2025 ‘Hoosier Thaw’ Power Soccer Invitational This Weekend
Fort Wayne’s Turnstone Center is set to welcome power soccer teams from across the Midwest this weekend for the 2025 ‘Hoosier Thaw’ invitational. The highly anticipated event will feature teams from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio competing in an action-packed tournament.
Power Soccer Takes Over the Court
Power soccer is a fast-paced sport that brings the excitement of soccer to the basketball court. Players use specialized power wheelchairs to maneuver a large ball across the floor, working together in four-player teams to score goals. The sport has grown in popularity, offering competitive opportunities for athletes with disabilities.
The ‘Hoosier Thaw’ invitational will include teams from the Premier, Champions, Presidents, and Founders divisions, ensuring a diverse and competitive lineup. Cross-division play is also a possibility, adding an extra layer of excitement to the tournament.
Schedule and Admission Details
The tournament will be held at Turnstone’s facility at 3320 North Clinton Street in Fort Wayne. Games will take place over two days:
- Saturday: First matches begin at 10 a.m., with the last games starting at 4:15 p.m.
- Sunday: First matches start at 8 a.m., with the final games kicking off at 1 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. on their respective courts.
Admission is set at $3 per day or $5 for the entire weekend. Volunteers and children can attend for free, making the event accessible for families and supporters.
