Solfest 2024 Returns to Metea County Park: A Day of Music, Fun, and Community

The sun shines brightly over Metea County Park as Fort Wayne gears up for the 21st annual Solfest. On June 22nd, from noon to 10 p.m., music enthusiasts, families, and friends will gather to celebrate the summer solstice with a day filled with live performances, activities, and community spirit. Pink Droyd, the headlining band, promises an unforgettable musical experience, while local talents like URB, Catfish Seminar, and Grateful Groove keep the energy flowing throughout the event.

Nonstop Music and More

Solfest isn’t just about the music—it’s a vibrant tapestry of entertainment. Ten local bands will grace the stage, ensuring that there’s never a dull moment. But that’s not all! Imagine SIX bounce houses, kayaking on the serene lake accompanied by live music from Alejandro Soto & Friends, and a bustling marketplace with dozens of local vendors. Food trucks will tantalize taste buds, offering everything from savory to sweet. Don’t miss Frowniez baked goods, Ambrosia mead & Cider, and Fortlandia Brewing Company’s refreshing brews. Acrobats will dazzle with hands-on activities for all ages, and Pyroscope fire spinners will light up the night. Henna by Holly will adorn willing skin, and a tie-dye station invites everyone to create their own Solfest shirts. It’s a sensory feast that captures the essence of summer in Fort Wayne.

Community Impact

Beyond the festivities, Solfest has a noble purpose. Every dollar of profit generated by the event goes directly to Fox Island and Metea County Park. These funds support specific projects that enhance the parks’ ability to serve the community. Whether it’s preserving natural habitats, improving facilities, or organizing educational programs, Solfest contributes to the well-being of Fort Wayne residents and visitors alike.Solfest 2024 Fort Wayne
