D51 School of Choice Applications Open Friday
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – District 51’s School of Choice applications will be opening this weekend, offering students and families the opportunity to apply for enrollment in their preferred schools for the upcoming academic year.
Application Timeline and Details
The application period begins on Friday, Jan. 10, starting at 10 a.m. and will remain open until 4 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24. This timeline has been adjusted in light of recent school closures and boundary changes for the 2025-26 school year. The new schedule aims to provide schools with ample time to plan for enrollment and staffing, ensuring a smoother transition into the new school year.
Notification and Commitment
Applicants will be notified of their application status starting on Jan. 29 at 4 p.m. Those who receive acceptance must sign and return a letter of commitment by Feb. 5 to secure their place in the chosen school.
