Amazing Art Expo Brings Star Wars, Disney, and Anime to Grand Junction

Grand Junction saw an exciting blend of pop culture and creativity this past weekend as the Amazing Art Expo took over the Courtyard Hotel. The free event, held from November 22 to 24, brought together 10 artists from around the U.S., showcasing beloved franchises such as Star Wars, Disney, and Dragon Ball Z.

A Pop Culture Celebration

The Amazing Art Expo is no ordinary art show. It combines fandoms with fine art, featuring exclusive creations inspired by some of the most iconic characters in entertainment history. Visitors were treated to an array of unique pieces, from Disney classics to the dynamic worlds of anime and Star Wars.

Brandon Carbon, a representative for Amazing Art Expo, described the event’s vibe, saying, “Seeing someone else’s joy of our art is just very uplifting because we’re selling chuckles essentially. You come over here, and we’re going to have something that makes you laugh.”

For fans and collectors, the expo was a chance to find one-of-a-kind items while connecting with the artists behind the creations.

A Showcase of Talent

The event featured ten artists, each bringing their unique style to well-loved franchises:

  • Star Wars-inspired works: From vivid portrayals of Darth Vader to quirky renditions of Baby Yoda.
  • Disney classics reimagined: Ariel, Mickey Mouse, and Elsa were seen in unexpected artistic interpretations.
  • Anime favorites: Goku, Vegeta, and other Dragon Ball Z characters leaped off the canvases.

The free admission made it accessible for all ages, ensuring families, casual fans, and die-hard collectors could enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.

Looking to the Future

Carbon hinted that the expo might return next year based on the event’s success. Amazing Art Expo has a history of touring the country, but Grand Junction could become a recurring stop if enthusiasm remains strong.

“Grand Junction has been wonderful,” said one of the artists. “The crowd here is so engaged and excited about our work—it’s been a blast.”

Whether you came for the nostalgia, the laughs, or the artistry, the Amazing Art Expo offered something for everyone.
