GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — A night of celebration and recognition turned into an unforgettable moment for six local educators and community leaders who walked away with brand-new cars at the District 51 Foundation’s White Iced Celebration on February 5th.

A Generous Gift to Honor Outstanding Individuals

Celebrating Teachers and Community Leaders

Crystal Green, the Career Coordinator at Palisade High School, was one of the six recipients. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m just feeling very thankful that our district believes in us and takes care of us. And that the community is giving recognition to teachers that really deserve it.”

The White Iced Celebration has been a longstanding tradition in the area, honoring individuals who go above and beyond to help students, educators, and the community thrive. The recipients, including Green, said they were proud to be part of an event that celebrates their hard work and dedication to improving the educational experience for local students.

A Community That Cares

For many of the honorees, the White Iced Celebration was more than just a chance to receive an award — it was a reminder of the strong sense of community support they have behind them. The generosity of Red Rock Auto Group and the District 51 Foundation helped create a truly special evening, not just for the recipients, but for everyone involved.

As the community continues to show its appreciation for educators and leaders, the White Iced Celebration will remain a hallmark event that recognizes the efforts of those who make a lasting difference in Grand Junction.
