GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. — A night of celebration and recognition turned into an unforgettable moment for six local educators and community leaders who walked away with brand-new cars at the District 51 Foundation’s White Iced Celebration on February 5th.

A Generous Gift to Honor Outstanding Individuals

Thanks to a generous donation from Red Rock Auto Group, six lucky honorees were awarded 2025 Nissan Leaf vehicles during the event. These cars were given to those recognized for their significant contributions to the community and education, marking a highlight of the 13th annual White Iced Celebration. The event aims to honor individuals who have made a positive impact within District 51.

Crystal Green, the Career Coordinator at Palisade High School, was one of the six recipients. She expressed her gratitude, saying, “I’m just feeling very thankful that our district believes in us and takes care of us. And that the community is giving recognition to teachers that really deserve it.”
