Victim of Clifton Mobile Home Fire Identified as Investigation Continues

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Authorities have identified the victim of a deadly fire at Candlewood Mobile Home Park earlier this week. The Mesa County Coroner’s Office confirmed that 59-year-old Phillip Tino succumbed to thermal injuries sustained in the blaze.

Late-Night Fire Claims One Life

Firefighters with the Clifton Fire Protection District were called to the mobile home park just before 10 p.m. on Feb. 4. Reports indicated a structure fire with a person trapped inside.

Upon arrival, first responders located Tino inside the burning home. Despite efforts to resuscitate him, he did not survive. The coroner’s office later confirmed his identity and cause of death.
