Enjoy the Sounds of the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra on February 22
The Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra is back with another spectacular performance on February 22 at the Avalon Theatre. The concert will feature the works of Mozart, Beethoven, and Brahms, as well as a guest appearance by violinist Rachel Barton Pine. Pine is one of the most acclaimed and versatile violinists of her generation, and has performed with major orchestras and festivals around the world. She will perform Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 5 with the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of conductor Charles Latshaw. Tickets for the concert are $25 for adults, $15 for students, and $10 for children, and can be purchased online or at the box office.
Celebrate Mardi Gras at the Downtown Farmers Market on February 25
The Downtown Farmers Market is bringing the spirit of New Orleans to Grand Junction with a Mardi Gras celebration on February 25. The event will feature live music, food trucks, vendors, and activities for all ages. You can enjoy the sounds of jazz, blues, and zydeco, as well as the tastes of gumbo, jambalaya, beignets, and king cake. There will also be a costume contest, a parade, and a raffle for a chance to win a trip to New Orleans.
